First of all... without Teah, this cake would have NEVER happened! So I am VERY thankful for her and her willingness to let me come make a huge mess in her kitchen the day before she had a birthday party at her house for her sweet little girl!
Anyways, we had such a fun time making this super delicious cake! YUMMO!
Keep in mind.. I have NEVER done anything like this, I have made boxed cake in a 9x13 pan and frosted it with the frosting from the can... never turns out or you can see all the crumbles on the top.. no one complains and they eat it but wow, this was WAY WAY WAY better! And SO much more fun to make!

The 2 large circle cakes, after we cut the top off! |
Making the 2nd layer of the cake just a tad bit smaller! |
Frosting the "crumble" layer! Then into the freezer they go! |
We did a few more frosting's/freezing "steps" once we put the cake together
The finished cake! :) I got home from Teah's put the cake in the garage (covered) and finished decorating it the next day while it was still frozen. |
Woala! The finished cake and my sweet 6 year old birthday girl!!
Ashtyn LOVED her cake! I can't believe how well it turned out for just whipping it up! Thanks so much to Teah for teaching me how to do this and for being so creative and just the best cake making partner I could ask for!
By the way... did I mention it was probably the BEST cake I have ever tasted! So moist and yummy and the frosting... cream cheese frosting.. to die for! (And I'm NOT a cake lover)!
